A Wedding of Wizards: Elopement Photos at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
One of our top specialties is proposal photography, capturing the incredible moment when a couple decides to commit to marriage. We don’t often get to see the next chapters of those stories, though. That’s why it was such a treat when Qiao and Kent hired us to photograph their one-of-a-kind elopement at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
In front of the stunning Hogwarts Castle, these two die-hard Harry Potter fans tied the knot. They both dressed for the occasion, he in his Gryffindor suit and his Slytherin bride wearing a Harry Potter diadem tiara.
These Boston-based lovebirds were so much fun to work with throughout their special day. Qiao is a scientist and Kent owns Boston Dog Company – a doggy daycare, veterinary clinic, and dog training center. It was a wonderful privilege to get to know them as we strolled through the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for their wedding photos.
The park allowed us to take a tour of one of this couple’s favorite shared interests and make it part of their big day. Kent was such a good sport to try on Qiao’s tiara in front of the Hogwarts Express, and dare we say, he rocked it!
The mixture of romantic classic wedding photos and lighthearted candids we captured throughout the day seems to perfectly sum up this beautiful couple. We even managed to get some portraits with the steam from Hogwarts Express in the background, and it created an outstanding artistic effect.
