Now Playing Fiancés: Cast Members’ Disney Proposal Portraits
Disney holds a special place in so many people’s hearts, usually, because it brings back some of their favorite childhood memories. But for a lovely young couple, JR and Kaitlyn, Disney means even more because it’s the backdrop to their love story. It’s only fitting that it was also the perfect place for their proposal portraits.
We take Disney proposal photos at the Disney parks often, but Kaitlyn and JR are both cast members, so this one was even more special. JR proposed to Kaitlyn at the Be Our Guest restaurant inside Belle’s castle, in the sweetest way, of course – with dessert. Kaitlyn was stunned and couldn’t wait to say “yes!”
For Kaitlyn and JR’s engagement portraits, we started with some shots in front of the big top with Dumbo, everyone’s favorite little elephant. We loved the pictures of these two sneakings a kiss behind the banners, and Kaitlyn already looks like a bride with her mouse-ear veil.
We made our way over to the carousel and its classic, retro aesthetic fits these two perfectly. They re-created the proposal on the carousel and of course, they did a fantastic job – they are actors, after all. They both look stunningly illuminated by the carousel lights.
Keep in mind that we photograph a lot of proposals, and we have to say that JR did a phenomenal job with the planning! He added so many special touches, like having the ring box engraved with the date and having custom shirts made, and we made sure to get photos of all these unique details.
