It was great to meet Benjamin’s family and photograph their reunion. Some traveled all the way from Kenya! Mothers, fathers, sisters, grandparents, brothers, aunts, uncles – nothing more important. “You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.” ~ Desmond Tutu
The Mbasu-Platt-Sykes family was thankful for the opportunity to spend summer 2016 together. The family, split between Kenya and the United States, came together on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park. This glimpse into an extended family separated by distance, distinct in nationality and culture, created memories as rich as their diversity.
