Many of the families we photograph in the Orlando area are early in their journeys together – couples who are newly engaged, newlyweds, and new parents with young children. As much as these couples and families cherish their time together, they may not realize how much more difficult it gets to spend time together as their families and children get older. That’s why it was such a joy for us to photograph a genuine family reunion for a beautiful extended family who all took time out of their busy lives to reconnect.

This amazing family of over 50 (!) people came together at Orlando’s Reunion Resort for a family vacation, and we were honored to help them take advantage of their together time with a family portrait. Six siblings came together, with their children and grandchildren, and let us tell you, the love and laughter flowed.

With this large of a group, we wanted to be sure to get some portraits of everyone together, but we wanted to give individual families, couples, and family members some shots of their own too. After all, especially with all these little kiddos, how often do you get everyone in one place and looking their best?

We took the portraits in front of the resort’s beautiful veranda. The water feature and flowers along the wall made for a lovely backdrop, but of course, the spotlight was all on these gorgeous faces. With a family this large, each person is living their own life with their own passions and adventures, but you’ll notice that there’s one thing everyone has in common: smiles. It’s clear that they all love each other and connect with each other deeply, and it was such a treat to be able to be part of their togetherness and share in their joy.
