Courtney and Meagan’s father Tim have been friends for a long time, you’ll see them showing their work at arts festivals and talking the day away. We were so happy when Meagan asked us to photograph her wedding to JR at The Chapel in the Garden. Such a beautiful venue for such a beautiful couple. We loved their family and friends, centerpieces with books and hand-made-by-her-dad ceramic bowls. Love to you Meagan and JR and to the start of your new family.
Kelly and Bree’s wedding at The Abbey and reception at The Mezz was one of the most fun weddings we have been to. All their guests dressed in 1920s costume which went with their Roaring 20s themed wedding. Peacock feathers, prohibition-style custom vodka bottle favors, mustache’s on a stick – this was the place to be, So many wonderful friends and family gathered to celebrate Kelly and Bree’s life together. We so appreciate being asked to be there. Lucky us – and everyone there.

I was so happy when Meredith called me to tell me she was getting married – she had modeled for some amazing bridal and fashion shoots for us and we became friends. As we talked about her wedding and engagement photos we decided we wanted to do a bohemian-styled-engagement shoot. Her sweetie Mitch is a musician (he proposed to her with his guitar case that had “Will You Marry Me” scrawled on the side) and thought they would look so great together in front of a 1973 VW van (thank you Jose!) and with a ring of flowers in Meredith’s hair. We got rained out a couple of times, but it was not hard to get some amazing shots of this wonderful couple at Dickson Azalea Park.
Special thanks to our wonderfully talented Stylist Pam Lawn, Dutch Door Antiques, Pegi Smith who designed and made the beautiful ribbon background, make up artist Kevin Perez, floral designer Danielle Evans of Dream Design Florist and Wedding Boutique. and Mary Angelini of Key Moment Films. And to my husband Courtney who didn’t complain once when I made him lug antique furniture from the store, to the trailer and in and out of the rain.
And for his incredible talent. Meredith and Mitch, Courtney’s beautiful illustration is for you.

I love to meet new people and it is so nice when it turns out that they are wonderful and fun to be with. Bonnie called me from New York to book us for an engagement session in Cocoa Beach. That is where James proposed. She is a teacher-marathon runner-Disney lover, he is a school administrator-IT Guy-baseball enthusiast. We met at Lori Wilson Park and had a great day shooting despite the cold wind. They will be back for a fabulous Disney Fairy Tale Wedding this summer! Thank you Bonnie and James – I know all your dreams will come true…

I have some wonderful old photos of Ashley, her twin sister Lyndsey and my daughter Jordan when they were in middle school. They make me smile. Three peas in a pod – they spent all their time together: Girl Scouts, slumber parties, they even got their drivers licenses together on the same day. Ashley’s mother Nancy is my dear friend. One of my fondest memories is taking our girls to their first concert – N’Sync!
But on this day, they are beautiful, grown women, one getting married. Seeing them together again to celebrate Ashley’s wedding to her fiancé Chris just brought tears to my eyes. As soon as I saw Ashley in her wedding gown, all those memories came back and made me smile again.
These are some of our favorite photos of their amazing Under the Sea Beach Wedding at The Pink Shell Beach Resort.

After about a year of talking, emailing and sending each other ideas and photos (what do you think of these ties…?) my dear friend Sara and Nick’s beautiful wedding at Cypress Grove Estate House was finally here. I loved the romantic colors and details of this wedding – from the signs handmade by her mother to the sweet little bird salt and pepper shakers on every table. Courtney and I were so happy to be a part of this wedding of our wonderful friends. Thank you Sara and Nick for inculding us in your lives.
What started out as a not-the-best-of-friends relationship – Kelly and Bree met through mutual friends – turned into a love for each other that is hard not to love. We had nothing but FUN at their engagement photo shoot at Church Street. I loved their playfulness and sweetness with each other and can not WAIT for their Roaring 20s themed wedding at The Abbey and reception at The Mezz!

Jenna called me from Boston and told me she and her true love Gary were getting married at Disney – their happy place. They visited every year and loved Disney’s Boardwalk and wanted photos there. We didn’t get to actually meet until her wedding day and we became immediate friends. They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Walt Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Hotel. It was raining all day and everyone told them they had to move their ceremony inside instead of how they wanted – outside in the courtyard. But Gary just smiled and said – “No, the rain will stop, just wait…” Everyone looked at the black sky and said, “Um… OK.” Soon enough, the sky cleared up and the sun shone through a few minutes before their ceremony. Jenna just smiled and said of course, Gary knows. They are so perfect together <3
We are so excited for Sara and Nick’s wedding this weekend at Cypress Grove Estate House! And had so much fun at their engagement photo session at Leu Gardens where Nick proposed. It’s so wonderful to have a bride and groom also be really, really wonderful friends <3
The proposal – in their words:
We’re engaged! Here’s how it happened.
The couple planned to celebrate Valentine’s Day early since Nick would be traveling to California for work the following week. Nick surprised Sara by planning the entire day, but still she had no suspicions.
They started off enjoying brunch at one of Sara’s favorite Winter Park eateries, Briar Patch. After a nice walk on Park Ave. they went to the Albin Polasek museum to enjoy a special harp exhibit and walk the beautiful garden grounds. For the first time ever Sara actually thought Nick might drop down on one knee while they were roaming the grounds. After realizing he was just messing with his cell phone, Sara had to calm her nerves and slow her heartbeat back down.
Next stop was Leu Gardens. The couple continued to enjoy the day walking through the rose gardens and even getting a peak at a wedding. Once Nick found themselves on a quiet and private pathway he stopped to ask Sara if she was enjoying the day. She said that she was and before she realized what was going on Nick was reaching for his pocket and lowering one knee to the ground. Sara asked, “what’s happening” and Nick replied, “This is happening, will you marry me?” Sara was fumbling with her purse just standing there and immediately said yes! Nick stood up, placed the ring on her finger, and they hugged and kissed with tears of joy in their eyes.
They took a minute to reflect and remember what had just happened so fast. Nick said that he had planned to say more but it just came out! He had wanted to tell Sara that he did not want to go another Valentine’s Day without her being his wife.
The day wasn’t over just yet. They enjoyed a couple’s massage at a nearby salon and then had a delicious Italian dinner in College Park. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
