We are so excited for Jordyn and Gabe’s wedding this weekend! We had a really fun engagement session with them in New Smyrna Beach. They are the sweetest couple! I asked them what they loved about each other and how they met. Here are their answers:
From Jordyn: Gabe and I met through mutual friends. I thought it was a “girls night out” but one of the girls invited their husband and his close friend… We ended up having conversation and hitting it off, and 3 weeks later had our first date. I love Gabriel’s “dreamy eyes”, integrity, courage, compassion, and his natural ability to make me laugh. He is handpicked by God, I couldn’t have prayed for a better man to spend my life with. I’m confident I’m the luckiest girl in the world.
From Gabe: It’s been amazing to see God’s hand in Jordyn and my relationship right from the start and even now. I truly feel like she is an example of God’s redeeming grace in my life. I love her empathy, her laughter, her loyalty and steadfastness. She inspires me all the time. I’m so excited to call her my wife here shortly and continue to get to know her even more.
Emily and Jake’s wedding on New Smyrna Beach was so fun! One of our sweetest couples. Thanks for including us you two!
Wedding thoughts from Emily: My wedding was simple but everything I dreamed of! My favorite memory was walking down Flagler Ave and being the star of the show! My colors were sparkly gold and pale pink with some greenery. My wedding planning was very simple I did a lot of diy decor. I even made all my own flowers. My vendors were my hardest part because it was destination but I’m luckily picked out the best around! I had G&G Entertainment as my dj who I would recommend to anyone who wants a fun music and entertainment they were amazing! My photographer was The Canovas photography they were also amazing they were so friendly and captured every moment of my wedding and the best about getting our pictures to us quickly and they turned out so beautiful. We had Dustin’s BBQ and Ben & Jerrys for catering and they also were great we heard nothing but great thing about the food and everyone loves ice cream so that was a huge hit! My wedding dress I bought in Indiana where I live and it looked perfect, it was the only thing I would’ve changed about my wedding because my bustle kept coming undone and I tripped on it all night dancing. I loved how simple my wedding was but how elegant it looked all at the same time. My groom and I are looking forward and excited to travel together before we start a family! If I had any advice to future brides it would be to not stress, it’s very hard not to but the more laid back you are the easier/smoother things go! I planned a wedding living 18 hours away only seen my reception venue one time ever and it ended up being better than I ever planned because I feel that I didn’t stress I just made it all work!
I loved MaryBeth and DJ’s wedding on the beach! The weather and light were perfect. Their ceremony was so nice with a few family, friends and their sweet little sons.
From Marybeth: We met online! Haha. We were friends for a few months just talking and hanging out for a while then realized we had something more! I love him because he brings out the best in me, truly. I have never laughed harder or cried harder but I feel true passion with him. And he’s an amazing dad to our two boys. We wanted to get married on the beach because I adore sunset wedding pictures with the sea in the background I think they are gorgeous so I knew we had to do it there.
Karly definitely looked like a vintage-glam Bohemian Princes on her wedding day! Such a beautiful wedding surrounded by art at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach. Karly and Kyle had all their wonderful friends and family there to celebrate. Check out Karly’s own words about her wedding below. Thank you Karly and Kyle for including us!
My wedding day style was romantic vintage glam, bohemian princess.
Wedding day color scheme: Plethora of blues, green and gold.
My wedding planning process was to get at least one thing done every day. I used a check list from RealSimple.com and it was perfect. Also, my manager was getting married the day before me, so we basically planned our entire weddings together. It made it so easy because we could bounce ideas off of each other, vent, and give each other ideas. We would also time-check each other and make sure we were on track.
My advice for future brides on their wedding day would be to HAVE FUN!! Every one kept telling me to make sure to go slow and take it all in, which is great advice, but having fun will not only make it memorable for you, but your friends and family too. I would not have done anything differently. 🙂
My most memorable moment during the planning process was laying in bed with my fiance, going over our playlist, which was about 50 songs too many.
We are most looking forward to every day. Being together makes every day the best day.
The photos I am most excited to see the pictures of the ceremony. I kept my eyes on Kyle, so I am excited to see the pictures of everyone watching.
My wedding inspiration was my personal style of how I like things to look. I love vintage, like cameos and pearls. I love natural beauty, i.e. plants, sunsets, art, I love shiny things!! Sparkles and jewels and overall pretty things. Simplicity and cohesion.
My favorite wedding details were all of the personal art work done by friends and family. Kyle’s mom, dad and sister spend so much time and energy making all of the succulent boxes to give out as party favors. They turned out beautiful and perfect, just how I envisioned them. Kyle’s bother’s girlfriend Brenna painted pretty much all the the signs and made everything so colorful. And my mom’s handmade brooch bouquets blew me away how well they turned out. They were gorgeous and brought the whole look together. As I saw different things and styles I liked, I chose them, and threw them all together. I love how everything turned out and it was everything I wanted it to be.
We couldn’t wait to share our First Favorite images from Karly and Kyle’s romantic, vintage glam wedding at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach. Beautiful personal art, succulent boxes party favors (made by Kyle’s family!) and handmade brooch bouquets (made by Karly’s mother!) were some highlights of this amazing wedding. Stay tuned for more to come!
