Maternity portraits create a special moment that every new mother deserves. As soon as you find out you’re pregnant, all of your focus goes toward your baby, but this is a monumental part of your life’s journey too, and it should be celebrated. We loved the opportunity to help Savanna chronicle the beauty of her pregnancy during her recent beachside maternity photo session.
We met up with Savanna and the dad-to-be Sam at New Smyrna Beach at sunset. This idyllic beach is a fantastic place for portraits with a timelessly beautiful aesthetic. It also happened to be freezing cold on this particular day, but Savanna was such a trooper and she looked amazing regardless.
For these maternity portraits, we went with a mixture of solo portraits and portraits of Savanna and Sam together. Their excitement to become parents is palpable, and Sam is already a doting father who clearly adores Savanna and their baby on the way.
The white maternity gown was so perfect for the peaceful and majestic look that Savanna wanted. While the wind made it feel even colder on the beach than it already was, it paid off because it created the windswept look that everyone has in mind when they think of beach portraits. It picked up Savanna’s gown so well for an incredible, flowy look.
Savanna’s maternity portraits on New Smyrna Beach gave her a fantastic way to celebrate this one-of-a-kind chapter in her life.
