The NINTH Annual DeLand Craft Beer Festival returned to Historic Downtown DeLand on February 10, 2018! Featuring over 300 beers and over 75 breweries, DeLand Beer Festival Events included pint nights, special bottle releases, rare and limited draft releases, art and music events, beer dinners and brunches, beer tastings, meet the brewer events, educational sessions, a homebrew competition and the signature event, DeLand Beer Festival.
This year’s Volusia Beer Week Premier Events include the #DrinkVolusia Bus Tour, Brews and Bowties, BrewCon 2018, and DeLand Beer Festival. These events started as a way to benefit our community and they continue to support the community that supports us. One hundred percent of the proceeds from these Premier Events go to support the Craft Beverage Community in Volusia County and MainStreet DeLand Association, a 501c3 charity, to support their efforts dedicated to supporting and enhancing the economic development of Historic Downtown DeLand while protecting and promoting DeLand’s historic heritage.
We love the The DeLand Indie Market at Artisan Alley! It is a curated event by Courtney Ford Event and Design and Newfangled Market that is held 4 times a year showcasing Artists, Boutiques, Vintage and Handmade Vendors. There were Food Trucks and live music at Cafe Da Vinci all day!

At Schley’s Bonsai & Supplies, skilled bonsai gardeners tend to the miniature branches of ficus trees, cultivating their artful lines and emerald-green foliage. They supply starter kits filled with tools and instructions for fledgling tree artists and lead classes at the shop where they demonstrate how to properly shape the foliage with shears, nippers, and wire cutters. In addition to instructional help, the gardeners purvey their trees and flowers, including elms, junipers, and azaleas, which, like an apologetic jack-in-the-box, spring from low, shallow vessels flush with colorful flowers.
