The pandemic has been hard on everyone. But today we finally got to get back to our Disney engagement and proposal sessions! Well masked up and 6 feet apart of course. We love the Magic Kingdom and so do our wonderful clients! Some people may not want to get their photos taken with masks, but we can still deliver a great portrait experience. Disney’s Magic Kingdom Engagement | Meredith and Brian
Big Disney fans, Meredith booked an engagement session there with us since that is where Brian Proposed! They came all the way from Ohio. Congratulations Meredith and Brian! And thanks for a really fun photo shoot xo
From Meredith: We met at work a few years ago and took our first Disney trip together in the fall of 2015. We both grew up going to Disney as kids, but it had been some time since my last visit and our first trip together. Brian enjoys Disney history, especially park history and the Imagineering process. Meredith grew up with a love for Disney art and animation. We love to experience the food and drinks at Disney the most and look forward to each time trying a new restaurant or two or three on property. Epcot has always been our favorite park. Favorite ride: (BRIAN) Splash Mountain (MEREDITH) Haunted MansionFavorite restaurant: (BRIAN) California Grill (MEREDITH) Tie between Tiffin’s and JikoWe are getting married at a Bourbon Distillery right outside of Cincinnati, Ohio that’s part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Even though we won’t be getting married at Disney, we will plan to add some fun Disney touches and character to the ceremony and reception. The most important part of our relationship is the ability to laugh and have fun at a moment’s notice. We love that we are not only best friends but partners in whatever we do and are excited for our wedding next year.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge | Bridal Portraits | Nakiya and Eris
We met Nakiya and Eris last year when we did their engagement session (see it here) and we are SO excited for their cruise wedding this winter on the Disney Dream! Nakiya wanted to do a special shoot for her 30th birthday at Animal Kingdom Lodge. She brought an Alfred Angelo Belle dress with her and had make up done by Kristy’s Artistry Design Team. Magic Kingdom Engagement Photographer | Amber and Cory
Amber and Cory are Disney fans and came all the way from Minnesota for fun and engagement photos! They also run the Disney marathon! I loved the email from her when she booked with us, “We are bursting at the seams with excitement!” Us too. These two are the sweetest.

Amber and I have known of each other for around 34 years, lol give or take, but our love, our relationship, our story and adventures didn’t begin until just over 4 years ago. As children we lived on the same block, just doors away from each other, but an age gap just kept our names familiar to each other through the years, until adulthood. We had a chance encounter at my previous employer that sparked enough curiosity for the two of use to investigate the possibilities. We are very, very thankful that we persevered through the highs and lows of the most amazing rollercoaster ride ever imagined because when our car finally got into the final straight away, we both knew we were ready to tighten up the seatbelt and not get out till the end of days. We found a best friend and true love in each other! We’ve had so many fun, wonderful adventures together already. We are currently filling our Paradise Falls jar for our next big adventure and cant wait to see where we land next!
Disney’s Magic Kingdom Engagement | Erika and Mike
Mike proposed to Erika and then had a surprise engagement shoot with us at Disney’s Magic Kingdom! We had so much fun and they are the sweetest couple. Lady Llewellyn from Cinderella’s Royal Court came in with some good marriage advice! Here’s to you Erika and Mike – we know that all your dreams will come true <3
From Mike: Erika and I met at a friend’s birthday party during her first year of college at Mass Amherst. Fast forward, and we just celebrated our 5 year anniversary on 4/25 and we’re planning on getting married 4/25 of next year. We’re looking forward to planning a very small wedding with our immediate families in Cape Cod. I chose to propose in Orlando because we’ve been every year since we met and Erika is a huge disney fan. We’ve made so many special memories there so it seemed fitting to add one more.
What I love most about Erika is her sense of humor and how we always have the time of our lives even when things don’t go as planned. Erika says that she loves how much fun we have together. No matter what we’re doing we’re always laughing while we do it.
Some of our favorite things are traveling, exploring new places, and trying new foods. We love spending time with our two beautiful cats (Freddy & Betty Boop). We also just bought our first house the week before we came to Disney and met you guys! Most of our time lately has been spent fixing it up and making it our home.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Proposal | Jordan and Laura
We were really happy when Jordan called us and told us he wanted us to photograph his proposal to beautiful Laura. They were so sweet together – I think she was really surprised! After the proposal at the private balcony dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, we walked through the beautiful lobby and captured some of their new happiness. Congratulations Jordan and Laura! <3
Their story from Jordan:Laura and I met freshman year of high school back in Michigan where we’re both from, and started dating only a year later. Our junior year of college we spent the spring in Florida with the Disney College Program, where we fell in love with the Disney parks and decided this was a place we would eventually like to move to. After dating for six years, we graduated this past spring and made the move to Florida. However, we spent the summer in different states- Laura moved to Florida first while I began a 3-month training for my new job. I used the time away to save for an engagement ring and proposal, and finally had enough to buy the ring I had my heart set on. During our private dinner at the Grand Floridian, I was able to finally ask her to be my wife, a question I had been wanting to ask her for years.
We thank God every day for bringing us into each other’s lives and couldn’t be happier that He did. We’re lucky enough to be each other’s first boy/girlfriend and still feel blessed to have found the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with so soon. We couldn’t be more excited for the wedding next summer and we’re so happy to have had Canovas Photography help capture our engagement and make the night one to remember.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Proposal | Brittany and Jeff
When Jeff, a lawyer from Tallahassee, called me to ask if we would photograph his proposal to his beautiful girlfriend Brittany, also a lawyer, we were thrilled. We were even more excited to find out that the proposal would be on a private balcony at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. After a romantic dinner, Jeff got down on one knee and proposed right as the fireworks were shooting over the park. Brittany, of course, said yes. Thank you Jeff and Brittany for including us on this perfect evening!
