For Veterans Day we wanted to feature our summertime photo shoot with Natalie and Taylor. It was their first anniversary and we had so much fun with them running around The Plaza in Kansas City! I asked Natalie how she and Taylor met…
We met in Kansas while I was on vacation seeing my good friend Lindsey. We hit it off right away and started a long distance relationship since I lived in Florida and Taylor was stationed at fort Riley in Kansas. I ended up moving to Kansas and we got engaged and had a beautiful wedding in our home state of Florida. Taylor just recently got back from deployment where he was in Afghanistan for 9 months. We just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary in June and as part of the celebration had beautiful photos taken by the Canovas.

Oriel and Brian’s wedding was one of a kind, just like they are. Her smile lit up the room – especially after Brian made her laugh, which was often. So elegant – black and white, with more orchids than you can count. Wonderful family that traveled far and best friends from Penn State days. We were so honored to be a part of it.Thank you Oriel and Brian for making us a part of your amazing wedding day.

We met Kasey and Tanner at the last minute – unforeseen circumstances left them looking for a wedding photographer on the only weekend we had open. It was meant to be. Courtney and I loved their laid back style, their love of music and their love for each other. The wedding was a perfect setting for this musician groom and his beautiful bride – Hard Rock Live
Everything was stunning: The lighting, music, food, atmosphere. They got ready in the artists dressing rooms, we took photos in the John Lennon room and in The Attic of rock ‘n roll treasures. The cake was a masterpiece with a Ferris wheel on top because Tanner proposed to Kasey on a one. Their guests had their photos taken in front of a step and repeat background, there was a red carpet and velvet ropes. There was fun, laughter and lots and lots of love in the room. Love to you Kasey and Tanner – may your lives always be filled with music.

Are you looking for an affordable Orlando wedding photographer? Contact us at The Canovas Photography. We would love to photograph your special day.
I love to hear love stories. How did you meet? How did he propose? What did she say/do? How wonderful to be married for over 30 years! I have said it before: I love LOVE.
As Courtney and I sat in an inconspicuous spot eating dinner and giving our feet and cameras a small break during Lesley and Brad’s wedding reception, Brad’s mother came over to join us. She said, “Did you hear how Brad and Lesley met??” Obviously a loved story and one that will be told by generations to come… this is the story told to me later by Lesley…
“My love for older adults started my career as the activity director for an adult day care center in Orlando. One of my members would tell me everyday how perfect her grandson is and how I should meet him. I tried to discourage her but she was persistent. Every day she came to the center she would spend all day telling me stories of her grandson and their family. To give a nudge she next told her grandson about me and how we should meet. Then one day she told me her grandson was going to pick her up and how I could meet him. So not to hurt her feelings I meet her grandson. One of my co-workers recently reminded me of that day and how she had never seen me blush that much. She also reminded me for a solid month I would hide when Brad would pick up his grand mother. One day in December 2000 Brad came at a different time then normal and caught me outside decorating the entrance and asked me out. I turned bright red and said YES! The rest is history…
In 2003 we got engaged but shortly after broke up. My career moved me to other opportunities. We would stay in touch through the years; I would have coffee with his father, and visit Brad’s Grandmother in the Nursing Home. A year had gone by since I had talked to anyone and Brad called to tell me Grandma was not doing well and was not expected to be with us for much longer. I left my work and went straight to the Nursing Home. She was in her room by herself non-verbal. I held her hand and talked, after a few minutes her entire family entered the room. They welcomed me like no time had passed. After her funeral service Brad asked me to come back to his family’s house. Several months after her service I invited Brad to dinner, told him I was interested in giving us another chance and was he interested. On St. Patrick’s Day 2010 Brad proposed again and I said YES! St. Patrick’s Day 2001 he told me he loved me for the first time.
I know on Nov 7th our Grandmother was smiling down at us and her handy work as a matchmaker.”
What is your Love Story?
