Amy and Andrew’s intimate wedding was really special, we loved that we were a part of it! Amy’s horse was one of the stars as the wedding was at the barn where he lives and where Amy works training horses. Friends and family were there to take part. Congratulations Amy and Andrew!
I loved MaryBeth and DJ’s wedding on the beach! The weather and light were perfect. Their ceremony was so nice with a few family, friends and their sweet little sons.
From Marybeth: We met online! Haha. We were friends for a few months just talking and hanging out for a while then realized we had something more! I love him because he brings out the best in me, truly. I have never laughed harder or cried harder but I feel true passion with him. And he’s an amazing dad to our two boys. We wanted to get married on the beach because I adore sunset wedding pictures with the sea in the background I think they are gorgeous so I knew we had to do it there.
OK, so if you are thinking about having an intimate wedding, I highly suggest the Maitland Art Center and have it in February. The azaleas and the pink tabebuia trees are in full bloom and so ridiculously pretty. Ann and Josh had such a sweet wedding with their friends and family and some great DIY goodies that Ann made herself, like the beautiful paper backdrop and flutter poles. Congratulations Ann and Josh! Thank you for including us. xo
From Ann:
My jewelry and my bridesmaids jewelry was created from my grandmothers pearls that were taken apart and redone to be more contemporary….the jeweler who did this for me was Aldo’s Fine Jewelry on Kirkman Road.
My wedding day style….my girlfriend will kill me for actually uttering these words, lol…but it honestly was “easy garden elegance”. I wanted it all to feel effortless…which is kind of funny considering how much planning goes into a wedding!
Favorite memory of the day….when I walked into the chapel and saw everyone, Josh, my kids, and family, it was the happiest day of my life next to when my children were born!
We went with the traditional “Bridal Chorus” for the processional. We danced to Johnny Cash “All Over Again”.
My color scheme was ivory with peach, blush, lavender and hints of gold.
I started with the dress and venue first and worked my way from there. I knew we wanted an outdoor wedding in the afternoon, so that kind of led me to the Garden Party feel.
My biggest advice is to follow a planning timeline, stay organized with a binder, and know that it will NOT be perfect, and that’s okay! Don’t lose sight of why you are getting married and keep that in the forefront of your mind. Make a budget and stick to it! We did this wedding for just over $10,000. I made a lot of the decor myself and bought my wedding dress on sale.
My most memorable moment was when I found the Maitland Art Center. I knew the minute I walked into their outdoor chapel that it was the perfect venue for us!
I am most looking forward to having a partner that is truly my best friend to share the rest of my life with.
I am so excited to see all of the photos! I don’t think I can pick one….if forced to I would say the ones at the altar.
I also loved how the flowers turned out. I saved glass bottles for a year, collecting them from friends and bars we went to….lol. I loved the idea of them scattered around in groupings with flowers in them.
What an amazing backdrop for Liz and Christian’s wedding – the Downtown Orlando skyline! We loved this wedding on top of the building where they work. They were so sweet and playful, some of my favorite photos are of them pretending to work and having fun in their offices! Congratulations Liz and Chris! xo

From Liz and Chris:
Describe your wedding day style in one sentence A downtown wonderland, filled with family and friends
Favorite memory of the daySeeing both sides of the family mingling, laughing and enjoying each other so much! Seeing our families become one big family was awesome. I also loved hearing Christian’s vows
Songs? The specific songs are a blur but my friend Caleb, the impromptu DJ, played some great crowd favorites and some of our favorites
Wedding day color scheme green, light pink, and rose gold
Describe your wedding planning process I spent the majority of my free time in the prior 6 months gathering and crafting decor, scheduling, and praying it wouldn’t rain on the day of (outside weddings are cool, but rain is not!) Christian and I also used Trello, a project management tool we use at work, to track our progress – I have learned it’s only way to keep him on track!
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day?DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. Seriously. Your enjoyment will not be lessened by the center pieces not being exactly like how you pictured, trust me on that one
Most memorable moment during the planning process? The day before the wedding I called my sister Kit in a panic. After calming me down she invited me to have tea at Infusion -like a proper tea time with pastries and little sandwiches. I had such a nice time chatting and having tea, I was able to relax and we spent the rest of the day getting stuff done! I couldn’t have pulled it off without Kit and her boyfriend Ben, they were both extremely helpful on the day of, and the whole week leading up to, the wedding
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? The future! We can’t wait to travel, get stronger as a couple, climb in exotic locations – and of course start a family (eventually).
Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos? The first look pictures!! Also candid moments between family members
What was your wedding inspiration? The city scape was really our biggest and best decoration, everything else really played second fiddle to the Orlando skyline. But I do think the gold in the decor played off the gold of the city lights nicely
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with themI’m not sure if it got a lot of use, but we did a directional activity that told people what direction and how far away some places are from the venue. For example, a lot of our family is located Vermont, so I made a card that said “Vermont is x miles north!” I thought of this when our Uncle Larry came to visit and asked which direction Disney, UCF, i4, etc. were while walking around the venue. I thought the cards would be a fun way to connect everyone to the wedding location!
Hey did you know we photograph wedding rehearsal dinners too? This fun party is from Chelsea and Geoff’s in Ybor City, with lots of friends and all the family 🙂 If you are interested in photography services, contact us today!
