Natalie and Kevin’s wedding was beautiful and all about travel, with post cards, a globe guest “book” and an amazing world map seating chart. It was also about their beloved boxer Cheyenne, who walked down the aisle and stood with them, just like everyone else. There was a lot (a lot) of rain that day, but it did not hinder Natalie and Kevin’s attitude, fun or love for each other. Make sure you read their take below, especially Kevin’s last line advice for grooms-to-be. Thank you Natalie and Kevin for taking us “traveling” with you! xo.

From Natalie:
Describe your wedding day style in one sentence: We wanted a romantic feel, to show our silly/whimsical side and our love of travel.
Wedding day color scheme: Navy/silver/blush
Describe your wedding planning process: Staying organized. I wanted to get as much done as quickly as possible so that I didn’t wait until the last minute for anything. All diy projects projects were done 4 months prior to the wedding.
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day? Stay as organized and under budget as possible. Try on a bunch of dresses, you never know what will look best!
Anything you would have done differently? Have a rain plan for pictures and transportation. Wish I would’ve had more communication with others day of. They say don’t worry the bride, which was great all day then when I got to the reception I freaked out. That was a horrible feeling for everyone! From Kevin: Prayed to rain gods more to get it to stop raining.
Most memorable moment during the planning process: Walking into the venue, looking at my man and knowing right then that it was our location.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? Traveling the world From Kevin: I’m Looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my best friend, sharing great adventures with her, and loving her like crazy, of course.
Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos? Standing as a married couple… With our dog 🙂 From Kevin: Oh, man, so many. My groomsmen and I waiting around beforehand, Natalie walking down the aisle, the kiss, walking down the aisle, any photos with our dog Cheyenne, family photos, our dance, and all the fun candid moments which were captured.
What was your wedding inspiration? Romantic travel without being too serious. We are a silly couple, hence the “UP” references, his Batman stuff, etc. and we really like to travel but it’s a wedding, of course I want everyone to feel the love <3 From Kevin: Our theme was based on the Pixar/Disney movie Up! and traveling. We had post cards for people to write their marriage and travel advice to us and a mailbox with our handprints on it to place them inside, a globe to sign instead of a guest book, a suitcase for cards, and Our Adventure Book like in the movie full of photos from our travels and experiences. Also, instead of table numbers, we used postcards of destinations and had a world map to show the seating chart.
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them: Kevin’s mom is very crafty, she did the LOVE letters, my hangers for the girls, our save the date stone, and misc other times. Colin Cowie is an event genius, my coordinator/florist found the candelabras that I fell in love with immediately. Pinterest is and evil necessity for so many ideas. I wanted to create my own feel but get basic ideas, I’m just so busy with work that I needed something to go off of, so it helped in that way. The popcorn stand was a nice end of the night treat that I wanted to have. *Side note for all the future grooms out there from Kevin: seeing your bride in her dress for the first time as she’s walking down the aisle is truly a great moment. I wish I could see Natalie in her dress for the first time all over again. She was absolutely beautiful and it’s a moment I will always treasure from that day.
Steve and Omar’s wedding was beautiful at the Grand Bohemian in downtown Orlando. With personal touches like photos of each guest as their table numbers, purple details, and a very meaningful wedding date, Steve and Omar made their night really special for their many friends and families. We were very honored to be a part of it. In Omar’s words:
Steve and I were introduced by a mutual friend in 2003. We actually met on his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, so it was a lucky night to meet! We got married on our 12th anniversary (and Steve’s parents’ 62nd wedding anniversary) at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando. We get along so well since we have different strengths. We always say Omar is “book smart” and Steve is “street smart”. Our wedding planning pretty much followed that same pattern. I researched everything and make spreadsheets to track our wedding plans, while Steve made quick decisions about what he liked or didn’t like. Overall, our wedding planning was a lot of fun and we enjoyed working with all of our amazing vendors. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more!

We couldn’t wait to share our First Favorite images from Karly and Kyle’s romantic, vintage glam wedding at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach. Beautiful personal art, succulent boxes party favors (made by Kyle’s family!) and handmade brooch bouquets (made by Karly’s mother!) were some highlights of this amazing wedding. Stay tuned for more to come!

I was fortunate enough to second shoot a sweet wedding with one of my favorites, Shipra Panosian Photography. These two lovebirds had a small intimate wedding at the Maitland Art Center that included wonderful friends and family. Their French bulldog even took part in the ceremony!
Kristen and Gordon stole our hearts right away. It started with Gordon’s sweet proposal to Kristen at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which we were there for (see the sweetness here) and then continued when they called us to come to Toronto to photograph their wedding! Courtney and I had never been to Toronto and took a couple days to go to Niagara Falls and see some sights. We loved it there, and loved meeting Kristen and Gordon’s amazing family and friends. We were invited to the Rehearsal Dinner and quickly learned that this couple is well loved. Stay tuned for their beautiful traditional tea ceremony coming up on our blog next. Kristen and Gordon – thank you so much for including us in your lives! xo

Her wedding day in Kristen’s words:
Describe your wedding day style in one sentence: Traditional, classic with a flare of Disney.
Wedding day color scheme: navy blue, yellow and cream
Describe your wedding planning process: We agreed to incorporate both our Filipino and Chinese cultures so we had a traditional church wedding for me and a traditional tea ceremony and a 12-course dinner for Gordon. Because we knew what were looking for, we found our venue within 2 weeks of getting engaged! We were lucky to have our friends give us referrals for most of our vendors, so that definitely helped with the planning process.
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day? Remember the day is about the both of you, so just relax and enjoy the moment. All the stress and worry will be worth it in the end.
Anything you would have done differently? Probably give myself more time to tend to the little details and not in the last few weeks before the wedding!
Most memorable moment during the planning process: There were so many memorable moments but being able to spend time and bond with our family and friends and having their support throughout the whole wedding planning was very special to us.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? For starters, being able to live in the same city! Most of all, it’s continuing this adventure together from starting a family to our many trips to Disney and everything in between!
Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos? Gordon’s reaction to his wedding gift, our photos at the park together and with our bridal party, and our photos with our family & friends.
What was your wedding inspiration? Classic, simple, elegant, and of course – Disney!
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them. I loved the place cards, a lot of love went in to making them. We had a Disney character for each table so on the place cards we had a picture of the character and the character’s name, I just thought they were so cute and special. I loved how our bridal party had a little bit of Disney on them, from the groomsmen t-shirts to the bridesmaids necklaces. We definitely incorporated Disney as much as we could!

When Sarah called me after her wedding and said that her husband Sean (see their amazing DeLand wedding here) and his siblings wanted to do an after wedding shoot, our minds were spinning. Three beautiful brides? Three handsome grooms? All in one shoot? How great will this be! The Erwin siblings all got married within 5 months of each other. They all get along so great, truly have a lot of fun together and thought it would be a great idea to get into their wedding attire and take photos. It also was a great surprise for their mother, Sharon. We decided to run around historic Downtown DeLand with them and Nikki (Sean’s sister) and Jaron, from Jacksonville, Jason (Sean’s brother) and Rachel, from Ft. Pierce. Here are some of our favorites.
