A couple of years ago Nix Herrera called us to do his headshots. He came over and right away I felt like we had been friends forever. He is really friendly, quick to laugh and an immensely talented body painting artist. We were really happy when he called us again for new portraits, some of our favorites below. Thank you Nix!
Nix Herrera started body painting in Orlando, Florida at the age of 19. His love of competition and artistic talent drove him to become an award winning body painter. Ever the perfectionist, Nix has constantly challenged himself to grow as an artist.
After 15 years of experience, Nix’s dedication for body painting led him to Syfy’s new show Naked Vegas. His expertise and problem-solving skills made him an essential asset to the body painting team. Nix was also a competitor on season two of Face Off where he competed in developing, sculpting, and applying special effects makeup.
Nix’s portfolio includes work with Playboy, Rolling Stone, Make-Up Artist Magazine, the JabbaWockeeZ, Penn and Teller, Nokia, Universal Studios, Ocean Park Hong Kong, Cirque USA, and many more.
Loved this portrait photo shoot with lovely Nicole! We had so much fun and got more prickly burs on our clothes than I have ever seen. I had just been to a wonderful Flower Crown workshop given by Tallow and Fern and knew Nicole would be the perfect model for the flower crown that I made. She was a great sport as I asked to go further in the weeds many times. Looking forward to more shoots with you Nicole! <3
From Nicole: I’m a lacrosse goalie. I’m in sixth grade. I have double-jointed thumbs and if I rub my back on the wall, you can hear my spine.
In our business we get to meet the most amazing families and were really happy to meet Emma’s. She wanted photos of her Orlando family reunion celebrating her parents 50th wedding anniversary! They were great to hang out with as they shared stories and showed that family accepts you for who you are, who would do anything for you and who love you no matter what.

We’ve been lucky enough to photograph this family for years – and every year for beautiful Scarlett’s birthday! ( See past photo shoots here and here) This year for her 5th birthday, her parents Jenn and Scott decided to go the Magic Kingdom for her birthday photo shoot, one of her favorite places. Her favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion, so we went there first so she could look “scared.” She was so convincing, I asked her jokingly is she knew someone who taught drama. She pointed to her mother – Jenn is the amazing drama teacher at Winter Springs High School! Thank you so much Scott, Jenn and Scarlette for including us in your family adventures! We can’t wait for the next one. xo
We love photographing this family – have done so for years. They are a sweet and fun family, with daughter Isabelle always ready to model-pose for me, in pink cowboy boots. Dr. Don and Dr. Jill are our favorite eye doctors – See them at Trinity Eye Associates in Oviedo.

My name is Natalia and I am 17 years old. This year I’m a senior at Coral Shores high school, and I’m very excited to graduate! I’ve had a great time in high school, always being very involved in school clubs and student government. Freshmen year I was Class President, sophomore year I was a Student Government Senator, and for the past two years I’ve been Student Government Treasurer. Each year I’ve been in at least three extra clubs. At the end of junior year I had the honor of being crowned Prom Princess. The summer after I had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam for thirty days on a full scholarship to study ecology and sustainability! It was a life changing experience, and as soon as I got back, my school welcomed me by voting me Homecoming Queen. I am really excited to graduate and plan on attending University of Florida with my older sister next year. I’ll be graduating as Valedictorian this year! I can’t wait to start my future!
Sean is an awesome senior at Winter Springs High School. He recently took a drama class, auditioned for the lead and won the Best Actor Award out of 1300 students at the Thespian Festival in November. In addition to being in the top 10% of his graduating class, he has many interests including working out, video games, sports – played varsity football, soccer and track. You may have seen him as Prince Charming in WSHS production on Snow White! So great to have been able to meet him and his mom Molly as we had a great adventure at his senior portrait shoot 🙂
Holly called me about 4 years ago to photograph her maternity portraits – we were so excited! But then before our shoot, she called to tell me her daughter McKinley decided to make her grand entrance early!
So, here we are again. Holly called and said, “We are having a boy, William James. My daughter just turned 4 in October and she is very excited.” Very happy to report that we were able to have a very fun photo shoot with this sweet and beautiful family. Can’t wait to meet you Billy, Jr!
