We are so lucky to have amazing clients who turn into friends and call us year after year to photograph their families. It’s so fun to watch these boys grow! Elise and Giovani have hired us for many years, and we have done lots of headshots for their company. I can not believe that their two boys are already pre-teens! You can see their first beautiful family sessions through the years here and here.
We were also happy to take some photos at their new beautiful restaurant Otto’s High Dive in the Milk District of Orlando!
A family vacation is a fabulous way to make new memories together, and it can also be a great opportunity for some senior portraits. As Florida photographers, we have the privilege of meeting people from all over the country (and the world) and helping them capture their memories in professional portraits, and one of our latest traveling clients was Mackenzie, who wanted her senior session taken in Cocoa Beach.
Mackenzie is an up-and-coming graduate from Kansas who was in Florida with her family for a vacation. What better way to get unique beachfront senior portraits than to take advantage of the opportunity while you’re in Florida?
We met up with this beautiful young athlete at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach. The park’s scenery allowed us to feature a variety of scenes and looks in Mackenzie’s portraits, from beachfront tranquility to greenery and flowers.
Mackenzie was a joy to work with throughout her session. She has a lovely smile and a fun personality, and capturing some of her laughter on camera was a fantastic treat.
We made sure to incorporate many different looks and types of portraits into Mackenzie’s photo session. From lighthearted smiles to dramatic looks fitting for a professional model, from head-and-shoulders portraits to zoomed-out shots of Mackenzie walking along the beach, we wanted to make sure she had photos with any look and feel she could want.
To add a bit of a rustic feel, we also found an old building on the beach that made a unique background. It created a slightly edgy and artsy look that was a perfect addition to Mackenzie’s gallery.
We’re excited for Mackenzie to continue on to graduation and the beginning of her next chapter in life, and we’re delighted that we were able to help her create lifelong mementos of this special time. This past year has not been easy for 2021 high school and college graduates. As they officially turn the page on a crazy year of social distancing, face masks, and virtual everything, it is a perfect time for Senior Portrait Photography at Walt Disney World!
Brady and his family came all the way from California for his Disney Senior Portraits! Big Magic Kingdom fans, Brady and his parents travel to the parks often. We went to all his favorite spots starting with The Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder Mountain Railroad, and The Purple Wall. The most important place to take photos for Brady was, of course, Cinderella Castle with Walt and Micky in the background.
We would love to photograph your headshots! These days, everyone needs a Great Headshot Whatever your field, your headshot should show the world that you’re professional and you care about what you do.

I am very happy to share Sam’s fall graduation session at Rollins College! This session shows some of the many reasons I love being a graduation photographer! Sam and I had fun going through campus – she spent a lot of time in The Annie Russell Theatre while studying Theater Arts. She graduated with a degree in Theater Design and Tech. She is from Grand Cayman Islands – I loved her necklace that showed her love for home. Congratulations Sam!
“Do all the other things, the ambitious things—travel, get rich, get famous, innovate, lead, fall in love, make and lose fortunes…but as you do, to the extent that you can, err in the direction of kindness.” —George Saunders
Kameela is a graduate of Stetson University in DeLand Florida – she graduated a year early! She is now off to get her Master’s Degree in Public Health in Epidemiology. We need her in our Pandemic world right now! She wanted some nice cap and gown photos to celebrate her time here. The Cross-Cultural Center was important to her, she spent a lot of time there. Congratulations Kameela!
The Riverside Hotel and Spa was a great backdrop for Christy’s branding photo session! She formally launched her new business, providing life coaching services for individuals as well as executive coaching for businesses! Ikygal Professional Coaching Services, where purpose and passion meet.
Her philosophy comes from Ikigai (pronounced ee-key-guy) which is a wonderful Japanese concept that essentially means “a reason for being.” It’s made from two Japanese words: iki, meaning “life” and kai, meaning “effect, result, worth or benefit.” Combined: “a reason for living.” A new concept on the secret of a happy life.

My name is Kelly Canova and my husband Courtney and I are artists living in the great city of DeLand, Florida. Recently I’ve seen artists all around the world who have found small ways to give back during this unprecedented season in our culture and I want to do my part. As a photographer, I know that the best gift I can give to my community is to document our new normal. Part art project, part community service, this experiment is about capturing what makes our town so special: the people. This series is a collection of family portraits that remind us that while we cannot control the things happening out in the world, we can find peace and joy in the moments we spend in our homes with the people we love most. l love this town, and I want to gift you with the memories of these long days and nights spent with your loved ones.
DeLand residents: Let me know if you would like to take part in our project! The photos are a gift and images will be sent to your family digitally. Each shoot will take about 5 minutes and will be shot from at least 10 feet away, applying the current CDC approved guidelines for social distancing.
