Steve and Omar’s wedding was beautiful at the Grand Bohemian in downtown Orlando. With personal touches like photos of each guest as their table numbers, purple details, and a very meaningful wedding date, Steve and Omar made their night really special for their many friends and families. We were very honored to be a part of it. In Omar’s words:
Steve and I were introduced by a mutual friend in 2003. We actually met on his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, so it was a lucky night to meet! We got married on our 12th anniversary (and Steve’s parents’ 62nd wedding anniversary) at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in downtown Orlando. We get along so well since we have different strengths. We always say Omar is “book smart” and Steve is “street smart”. Our wedding planning pretty much followed that same pattern. I researched everything and make spreadsheets to track our wedding plans, while Steve made quick decisions about what he liked or didn’t like. Overall, our wedding planning was a lot of fun and we enjoyed working with all of our amazing vendors. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more!
Thank you to these amazing wedding pros:

We couldn’t wait to share our First Favorite images from Karly and Kyle’s romantic, vintage glam wedding at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach. Beautiful personal art, succulent boxes party favors (made by Kyle’s family!) and handmade brooch bouquets (made by Karly’s mother!) were some highlights of this amazing wedding. Stay tuned for more to come!
Isabell contacted me asking about an engagement photo session at Walt Disney World. They were coming all the way from Malaysia! We met at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and then went off to Epcot. They are the sweetest couple and we were so happy to meet them and be a part of their visit. <3
James and Sarika, both veterinarians, met in 2007 when she was an extern at his practice. They started dating in 2010 and are very excited about their upcoming outdoor spring wedding at Oviedo on the Park! Too much fun to get to go behind-the-scenes at the Sanford Zoo!
I was fortunate enough to second shoot a sweet wedding with one of my favorites, Shipra Panosian Photography. These two lovebirds had a small intimate wedding at the Maitland Art Center that included wonderful friends and family. Their French bulldog even took part in the ceremony!
We loved our family trip to Ireland with my sister Karen, her husband Jeff, niece Hayley, my mother Margot and daughters Jordan and Devin! It’s the prettiest place I have ever seen. We drank lots of Irish coffee, kissed the Blarney Stone, met some wonderful people and traveled from Dublin to Killarney. We stayed in the Kilronan Castle, visited Galway, The Dingle Peninsula and drank at Durty Nelly’s. We can’t wait to go back ?
We loved this family shoot with one of our favorite families! We have been photographing Jenn, Scott and sweet little Scarlette since before she was born, starting with Jenn’s maternity shoot and every year after. This photo shoot was to celebrate Scarlette’s 4th birthday and they decided to go to the other happiest place on earth – Universal Studios Orlando. Scarlette was such an amazing model – full of fun and life, even sang a verse of “Single Ladies” for us <3 I can’t wait for our next photo shoot.

Kristen and Gordon stole our hearts right away. It started with Gordon’s sweet proposal to Kristen at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which we were there for (see the sweetness here) and then continued when they called us to come to Toronto to photograph their wedding! Courtney and I had never been to Toronto and took a couple days to go to Niagara Falls and see some sights. We loved it there, and loved meeting Kristen and Gordon’s amazing family and friends. We were invited to the Rehearsal Dinner and quickly learned that this couple is well loved. Stay tuned for their beautiful traditional tea ceremony coming up on our blog next. Kristen and Gordon – thank you so much for including us in your lives! xo

Wedding day color scheme: navy blue, yellow and cream
Describe your wedding planning process: We agreed to incorporate both our Filipino and Chinese cultures so we had a traditional church wedding for me and a traditional tea ceremony and a 12-course dinner for Gordon. Because we knew what were looking for, we found our venue within 2 weeks of getting engaged! We were lucky to have our friends give us referrals for most of our vendors, so that definitely helped with the planning process.
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day? Remember the day is about the both of you, so just relax and enjoy the moment. All the stress and worry will be worth it in the end. Anything you would have done differently? Probably give myself more time to tend to the little details and not in the last few weeks before the wedding!
Most memorable moment during the planning process:There were so many memorable moments but being able to spend time and bond with our family and friends and having their support throughout the whole wedding planning was very special to us.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? For starters, being able to live in the same city! Most of all, it’s continuing this adventure together from starting a family to our many trips to Disney and everything in between!
Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos?Gordon’s reaction to his wedding gift, our photos at the park together and with our bridal party, and our photos with our family & friends.
What was your wedding inspiration?Classic, simple, elegant, and of course – Disney!
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them.I loved the place cards, a lot of love went in to making them. We had a Disney character for each table so on the place cards we had a picture of the character and the character’s name, I just thought they were so cute and special. I loved how our bridal party had a little bit of Disney on them, from the groomsmen t-shirts to the bridesmaids necklaces. We definitely incorporated Disney as much as we could!

We loved hanging out with Carli and Chris for their engagement shoot at the Port Orleans Resort at Disney! They are the sweetest couple.
Chris and Carli met the summer of 2012 in Rome, Italy. Carli is from Arkansas, and Chris is from Colorado. They were on the same study abroad program, and spent a month together traveling around Italy. Once they got back to the states, they did long distance for 6 months before Chris came to Arkansas to complete his Masters, where Carli was still in school. A year and a half later they did long distance again, this time for a year. They finally moved together to Florida in May of 2015. On July 19th Chris proposed at the Italy pavilion in Epcot, to recreate where it all started!
