So excited for my seniors leaving for COLLEGE this week! Here is one of my favorites – sweet, beautiful and super smart Natalia xo.
My name is Natalia and I am 17 years old. This year I’m a senior at Coral Shores high school, and I’m very excited to graduate! I’ve had a great time in high school, always being very involved in school clubs and student government. Freshmen year I was Class President, sophomore year I was a Student Government Senator, and for the past two years I’ve been Student Government Treasurer. Each year I’ve been in at least three extra clubs. At the end of junior year I had the honor of being crowned Prom Princess. The summer after I had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam for thirty days on a full scholarship to study ecology and sustainability! It was a life changing experience, and as soon as I got back, my school welcomed me by voting me Homecoming Queen. I am really excited to graduate and plan on attending University of Florida with my older sister next year. I’ll be graduating as Valedictorian this year! I can’t wait to start my future!
Allyson and Brett met in high school nearly 7 years ago. After knowing each other for about a year, they started dating. They have been inseparable ever since. Brett is a recent graduate from the accounting school at the University of Missouri and Allyson is a marketing major currently finishing her last semester, also at the University of Missouri. Brett loves Allyson’s sense of humor, her gorgeous eyes, and the fact that she has put up with him for six years. Allyson loves so many things about Brett – he has a huge heart, he’s caring, and he is extremely goofy.
Courtney and I were so happy when Brett called us to photograph his proposal to Allyson! See his words about it below:
Proposal: I wanted to make a proposal a surprise. But since we have been dating for nearly 6 years, I knew if I planned a trip for just the two of us, she would catch on quickly. When her parent’s told us they were planning a trip to Disney World, I knew it would be the perfect way to catch Allyson off guard. A few people that we knew were also going to be in Disney World the same time as us. I had them text Allyson and tell her that they had a dinner reservation at the Grand Floridian, but were unable to make it. They then offered the reservation to Allyson and I in order to save them from a cancellation fee. When we arrived at the Grand Floridian, we were met in the lobby by a butler carrying a rose. He handed it to Allyson and led us to the fourth floor of the resort. There was a table for two set up in front of a large glass, floor to ceiling window. We had a view of the beautiful resort, lake, Cinderella’s castle, and the EPCOT ball. As we ate our appetizers and first and main courses, we watched the EPCOT Illuminations fireworks and the electrical water pageant. For dessert, we moved to the third floor balcony. When we got to the balcony, there was a table set up. We watched the Hollywood Studios fireworks and ate our desserts. As the third and final round of fireworks was getting ready to start, Canovas Photography showed up and told us that they were part of the Disney package. I was hoping Allyson wasn’t catching on, but at this point, I’m sure she was. We stood up and leaned on the railing of the balcony to watch the fireworks. A minute before the fireworks began, I pulled out my phone and a pair of headphones. I made a video of photos and video clips from our last 6 years together. The video was set to the song Then by Brad Paisley. If she had any doubt about what was happening, it was all gone now. She started crying and the firework show started. When the video ended, I pulled out the ring and proposed.
She said yes ?
Sarah is into DNA and nerdy science stuff. She can also do a back flip on a swing. She loves the Seahawks, French fries, volunteering with the church kids – and her family. She hates it when she can hear people chewing non-crunchy foods. She is a senior at Princess Anne High School and wants to major in bi-molecular sciences.
She is awesome <3

Thank you Josie for such a fun senior portrait photo shoot!
Josie is a senior at Timber Creek High School in Orlando FL. She attended Butler High School in Butler, PA prior to her family moving last summer. She lives at home with her parents, and is the oldest of three children. Josie has been dancing since the age of three which has led to her passion for color guard. She hopes to continue with color guard after graduating. Along the way she also was very active in other sports such as volleyball, swimming and golf; but dancing and performing has always been what she loves the most. She plans to attend Valencia College and transfer to the University of Central Florida after completing her general studies. She hopes to pursue a career in Forensics.

Matthew was the best man at Gordon and Kristen’s wedding last year in Toronto – we all became friends right away. Matthew called us last week and said he and Maria were visiting Florida, had just got engaged and wanted a Disney engagement photo session! We were really happy to see him and meet (ridiculously cute) Maria. They are one of the sweetest and happiest couples we’ve met. Our shoot was so fun, especially when “royal etiquette expert” Lady Llewellyn from Cinderella’s Court at the Magic Kingdom hung out with us! She gathered other guests there to give Maria and Matthew some of their best marriage advice. Which, by the way the looked at each other and literally danced together down Main Street, I don’t think they really needed <3 Read more from Matthew below
Our story:
In the Manhattan church that I attend, we hold a sandwich drive each month for the homeless. Maria was in New York for interviews and the night before her interview, she wanted to spend the evening with the youth group. As soon as she walked into the church, I spotted her smile, she spotted my pager, and we hit it off from that night. We met up together in a group the next evening, after her interview, and went to Dave and Buster’s, where both of our competitive spirits came out to play. Fast forward a year later, including dinner dates, escape rooms, Broadway shows, basketball games, and so much more. At that time we found ourselves preparing for our individual medical specialty board examinations. By far one of the most stressful times in both of our lives. Her profession is in Radiology and mine in Pathology, which together makes a cute diagnostic medical team. I took my exam in May and spent the last week with Maria before she took hers in June, all the while planning our proposal to surprise her (a rare feat). We had plans to fly out to Atlanta, where her family is, the weekend after her board exam, then to NY for my residency graduation, and finally to Orlando to enjoy being a kid again in Disney World.
The Proposal:
While preparing for our board exams, I was secretly planning the proposal of a lifetime. Maria grew up in Atlanta, where all of her friends and family are, and where her home church is, which means the world to her. I always knew I wanted to propose to my future wife in front of a church altar, because of the deep symbolism behind it and the importance of having God amongst us always. I also wanted to tweak the proposal with a little bit of romance and fun, who wouldn’t? So I set up a Proposal themed “Escape Room” with clues based on our relationship only she would know in order to succeed and escape the room. The room included an area from our Past and another for our Future. Five memories from our relationship were used to unlock a pathology slide box that was filled with five more facts about our future. The last five clues unlocked a container with a large X-Ray of the ring saying, “MEET ME WHERE WE SAID I LOVE YOU.” Instantaneously, she knew where to meet me – in front of the altar. There I was, pacing, standing, detouring curious friends; inside the church by the altar, awaiting my beautiful bride-to-be to walk in. She shyly opened the door, and weak in the knees walked up the center aisle. We stood in front of the altar, and recalling Maria asking me for her ring pop on the last Valentine’s Day we spent together, I promptly pulled out a diamond collection ring pop from my left inner blazer pocket. She says “YES!” with her excitement exceeding my expectations. After whispering words I have been awaiting to tell her for so long, I get down on my right knee, pull out a Cinderella carriage ring box, open it and ask, “Will you marry me?” She says, “Yes!!” and the anxiously awaiting family and friends outside the church doors come marching in to the church to celebrate!!

We loved their first look under one of the oldest oak trees in central Florida and their fun wedding party photos at the The Mennello Museum of American Art. Our friendship started out with their engagement photo shoot and continued on with some of our favorite wedding photo booth photos we’ve taken. Congratulations Jackie and Jayson! Describe your wedding day style in one sentence – Relaxing & full of emotion as we were able to bring our family together as one in front of our families & friends.
Wedding day color scheme – Aqua & Gray
Describe your wedding planning process – We started researching venue ideas & found the Orlando Science center which we fell in love with. With the help of Pinterest we were able to come up with great ideas to tie our love for the beach into the wedding.
What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day? Don’t stress over the small things. It’s impossible for everything to be perfect.
Anything you would have done differently? I would have met up with the coordinator before the wedding to come up with an exact timeline for how the evening would go.
Most memorable moment during the planning process – The most memorable moment was when I picked out my wedding dress & saw how happy this made my mom.
What are you most looking forward to as a married couple? Enjoying all of our adventures that will come our way & expanding our family.
Which moment are you the most excited to see in photos? I am most excited to see the first look photos.
What was your wedding inspiration? My wedding inspiration was the beach & bringing everything together as if we were on the beach.
Describe some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them. Some of my favorite wedding details was our cake. We found some great ideas on Pinterest & Sprinkles was able to expand on our ideas. I also loved the Dropbox guest book because it is completely different then what you traditionally see at a wedding. I found that on Pinterest as well.
