We are so happy and honored to have amazing clients-turned-friends like The Devine Family. We have photographed them since before Scarlette was born, and every year after! This year, at the Orlando Science Center. I love that they have family portraits made every year for Scarlette’s birthday (see a few here, here and here) What a wonderful gift they have given their daughter – she will have these memories of wonderful family times forever. And what is more important than that? Thank you Jenn, Scott and Scarlette for your loyalty, friendship and a lot of really fun photo shoots xo
Mary and Peter’s beautiful wedding was at The Estate on the Halifax with so many friends and family to celebrate with them. I love that Mary’s daughters were her bridesmaids and her sons walked her down the aisle. There was a lot of laughing and dancing at this wedding – we had so much fun. Thank you to Courtney Ford Event Design for making the day even better! Congratulations Mary and Peter! xo
Amber and Cory are Disney fans and came all the way from Minnesota for fun and engagement photos! They also run the Disney marathon! I loved the email from her when she booked with us, “We are bursting at the seams with excitement!” Us too. These two are the sweetest.
From Cory: Amber and I have known of each other for around 34 years, lol give or take, but our love, our relationship, our story and adventures didn’t begin until just over 4 years ago. As children we lived on the same block, just doors away from each other, but an age gap just kept our names familiar to each other through the years, until adulthood. We had a chance encounter at my previous employer that sparked enough curiosity for the two of use to investigate the possibilities. We are very, very thankful that we persevered through the highs and lows of the most amazing rollercoaster ride ever imagined because when our car finally got into the final straight away, we both knew we were ready to tighten up the seatbelt and not get out till the end of days. We found a best friend and true love in each other! We’ve had so many fun, wonderful adventures together already. We are currently filling our Paradise Falls jar for our next big adventure and cant wait to see where we land next!
Darby has this amazingly great smile and laugh – we had so much fun with her and her fiancé Blake, playing on New Smyrna Beach for their engagement session. They are getting married in DeLand at Cafe Da Vinci‘s, (where Courtney and I got married!) Wedding planning by Courtney Ford Event Design <3
From Darbey: Blake and I met exactly where we are going to tie the knot, Cafe Da Vinci, I was the bartender, and he was a patron. We met years before actually going on a date (lord knows he tried to get me out on a date with him that entire time) but I always had a boy friend. Haha poor Mr. Blake! But, once I became single he jumped on the opportunity. Our first date was unlike any other date I had been on. He picked me up, got me flowers, opened the door, and from there on out I knew I was toast! I HAD FOUND THE ONE!!!! ??I look at him now and I see the rest of my life in his eyes. He is so kind, gentle, patient, forgiving, and loving. Words could never begin to explain the butterflies I get overtime he walks into the room. I’ve never been more ready for anything in my entire life! ???
Ericka wanted some portraits done of herself, but really wanted to have some fun photos with her bestie Kendall. She is her little sister and Ericka is Kendall’s big sister in their sorority Delta Delta Delta. Kendall is a junior and Ericka is a senior at Stetson University in DeLand.
So many neighborhoods have cookie-cutter-every-one-the-same house with no trees or character. I think the best and my favorite thing about this house is the uniqueness of it – that there is not another one like it.
I love our home, because it is has been more than a home to me and my family, it has been a lifestyle choice in that it is quiet, tree-covered and in a district with great schools. It is less than 10 minutes to the mall where we go to the movies almost every Tuesday night, the Publix where I love to grocery shop and great restaurants. Many times we ride our bikes to these places on the Cross Seminole Bike Trail which is right along side of our neighborhood.
The high vaulted ceilings caught my eye first, with the windows way up 28 feet – it almost makes me feel like I am outside. Even if you brought the second floor in this house you would still have 10 foot ceilings on both floors. Sometimes I can look up see the full moon from those windows. It makes me feel very peaceful.
I love that is has a corner lot filled with many different of plants, flowers and trees that make me feel like I am on a huge amount of land. We see hawks, egrets, wood storks, deer and even bald eagles here. We love to sit out on our deck and drink a glass of wine at sunset and coffee in the mornings. We have the best neighbors in Huntington, we’ve made many life-long friends here. I love having property with no high wall or fencing – creating that spacious feeling. There are Friday night happy hour get-togethers, book clubs, a big Spring Picnic, an Octoberfest Festival party, a Holiday Walk through the neighborhood – a progressive party from house to house. On Christmas Eve, every family puts up luminaries around their homes making the neighborhood so beautiful that people come from all over to see it.
This house has a big wide open feeling in the family living areas, a feeling spaciousness. We love that the house is laid out so that the family living spaces are upfront and all of the bedrooms are set up in the back of the house. The master bedroom has 16 foot ceilings vaulted and open. When my kids were younger, I loved that all our bedrooms were right together, though the master bedroom still felt private with it’s own hallway. And so big!
The kitchen is always where our family and friends gather. It has been wonderful to entertain here and have had many parties though the years. Even with all the space in this house, our friends always crowd around the island there.
Take a 360 tour here. Find out more about our house here.
If you missed Lowe and Behold‘s Wedding Showcase to celebrate their new Bridal Suite,
you missed some of those most beautiful wedding floral and decor that we have ever seen! Jaw-dropping beauty at this event exhibited the amazing talent of the floral designers, and was the vision of wedding sales manager Julia Gennaro. We have worked with Julia for many weddings – we are so happy that she has found her place with Lowe and Behold! And don’t worry, they are already planning next year’s showcase.
From Julia: My vision for the wedding showcase was to create vignettes featuring current trends in wedding floral design and décor. By featuring our talented designers, each designer was given a theme to create by precuring different floral and hard good element’s, along with linen and place settings. My overall thought process was to present this to our industry peers in such a way, that they walked away from this experience feeling inspired by a new floral aesthetic. Themes:

Gigi: Beach, Tropical

When Meredith called me from South Carolina to photograph her Disney engagement photos with her fiancé Chad, I wasn’t expecting to be taking photos of Cinderella herself. Or maybe Alice in Wonderland. Either way, when we met, I knew she was just like a Disney Princess. She was graduating in a few days from Clemson University – so a big year for them. Their wedding is going to be a magical Disney wedding for sure! (read more below!) These two were so sweet together, we know all their dreams will come true <3 Congratulations Meredith and Chad!
From Meredith: We met 7 years ago when I was 15 and Chad was 17 through mutual friends. When our friend introduced us, I had a boyfriend at the time and wasn’t interested (poor Chad haha). Well a couple of months later, I was single and needed a date to our winter high school dance, so that’s when I reconnected with Chad. Our first date was really odd- we went to our local movie theater to see The Last Exorcism and then to the Sonic drive-in (we both hated their food but neither one of us wanted to say anything haha). Then we just sat in his car and talked for hours. And we’ve been together ever since that first date!!
We started talking about our wedding about a year or so ago and we knew we wanted a destination wedding because everyone in our small town gets married at the same couple of venues. This past January we decided on relatively small Disney wedding for family and close friends. I’ve been to Disney World with my family at least once or twice a year since I was 5 years old. We’ve even stayed at the same hotel for the last 15 years so Disney is definitely my second home. Chad has only been to Disney a couple of times, but I’m slowly converting him into a Disney fan 🙂 He understands my love for Disney and how much it means to me and he just wants me to be happy. I also think he is secretly becoming more excited about a Disney wedding 🙂 Our ceremony will be at the Grand Floridian Wedding Pavilion followed by a reception at the Contemporary Resort and fireworks dessert party in Epcot that evening.
